A day at the beach. The week leading up to this shoot was a busy one, full of jobs, commitments and life. I got to this shoot with the intention of creating for me, and I loved every second of it.

This collaboration took place in Maitland, Australia. Going into the shoot, Florence and myself had a few things we wanted to try out but it was definitely one of those improvised shoots where you throw yourself into a location and see what magic you can create.

I was asked to work alongside Nautica Australia for their advertising campaign in the second half of the year. Something that challenged how I interpret the usual ‘portrait’. The idea going into this shoot was to mix professional advertising with lifestyle shots. Selling the idea before the product.

Working alongside local Newcastle brand Kojo. I was asked to hop on board to help create content for their new line of jeans. Made out of stretch fabric, the jeans specialised in being ‘active’ and ready for any movement the client saw throughout their everyday.

I used to have the impression that studio launches are sometimes a bit dull. I’ve quickly worked out that it’s only dull if you make it. Vanity tasked me with creating content for their website to launch their new apparel. I had a blast with this one.

Being a fan of local music this commission was one of my favourites. Lost Plaza is a band bursting on the local Newcastle music scene in 2021. Incorporating a higher contrast and rich colour palette, this job let me get creative with how I wanted the images to come out. The trio have become some of my favourite clients.

Local Newcastle surf brand commissioned myself to create an album for their campaign of new tees and accessories. Being a local coastal boy myself, I loved getting to work around the ocean and smelling the sea breeze throughout this shoot!
